Description

The Aperol Spritz Piazza was conceived as a temporary hospitality environment for the Vienna Film Festival at Rathausplatz. Rather than functioning as a branded pavilion, the project created an open urban living room where visitors could gather, pause, and experience the festival beyond the cinema.

The design translated Aperol's identity into an architectural language through lightweight structures, integrated planting, and flexible seating. Framed by Vienna's historic City Hall, the intervention established a dialogue with its surroundings, encouraging different forms of occupation throughout the day while remaining open and accessible to the public.

By balancing the practical demands of temporary construction with the qualities of public space, the project demonstrates how architecture can support social interaction and contribute to the cultural life of the city.
