Description

Developed for Corona Otto Beach, the project transformed a section of Vienna's Donaukanal into a temporary place for gathering and relaxation. Rather than introducing a conventional hospitality venue, the intervention established a calm environment where architecture, landscape, and public life converged.

The design employed lightweight structures, natural materials, integrated planting, and carefully arranged seating to create a sequence of open and sheltered spaces along the waterfront. Conceived as an extension of the surrounding landscape, the pavilion encouraged visitors to slow down, linger, and engage with the city from a different perspective.

By working with the existing character of the Donaukanal rather than imposing upon it, the project demonstrates how temporary architecture can enrich everyday public space through atmosphere, simplicity, and thoughtful spatial composition.
