Description

Developed for the Minus20° Biennale in Flachau, Snow Logistics reflects on the increasing scarcity of snow in the context of climate change. Inspired by the language of logistics and cold-chain infrastructure, the installation imagines a future in which natural snow has become a protected resource, raising questions about preservation, ownership, and environmental responsibility.

Presented as a restricted storage facility, the intervention appropriated the visual codes of industrial logistics to construct a fictional yet plausible scenario. By treating snow as a commodity requiring security and controlled access, the work exposed the growing tension between natural resources and the systems designed to manage them.

Positioned between speculation and reality, Snow Logistics invites visitors to reconsider the fragility of alpine landscapes and the environmental transformations that are already reshaping them..
