Description

Developed over six consecutive years, Barcel explored how temporary architecture could establish a recognizable identity across different music festivals in Mexico. Rather than creating a single pavilion, the project evolved into a flexible architectural system capable of adapting to diverse sites, audiences, and event formats while maintaining a consistent spatial language.

Each iteration combined lightweight construction, bold geometries, and open gathering spaces to create environments that encouraged interaction and visibility within the festival landscape. The design evolved from year to year, responding to new contexts while refining its architectural expression and operational performance.

By approaching temporary architecture as an evolving design process rather than a fixed object, Barcel demonstrates how long-term collaborations can generate a coherent body of work that balances adaptability, identity, and collective experience..
