Hi! I am Juan Vértiz
I studied Industrial Design at the Faculty of Architecture at UNAM and hold a Master’s degree in Social Design — Arts as Urban Innovation from the University of Applied Arts Vienna.
My practice bridges product design, fabrication, and participatory methods. I’ve created ephemeral architecture and stage installations for music festivals, developed public art interventions, and co-designed projects with communities.
In Vienna, I co-founded the Rumwurschteln Festival, a city-wide cultural program that reimagines the role of the Würstelstand as a social hub by combining food, music, and public art. I also collaborate with local creative agencies, where I contribute to brand experiences and spatial concepts that bring ideas.
I enjoy leading projects from research to prototyping and delivery, always with the goal of creating outcomes that not only solve problems but also spark dialogue and strengthen communities.
